Whilst the 'Press' were not there to photograph the impressive display on show at Faversham on an Autumn day it should not take away from the fantastic win by Christopher 'Wright Wright' Wright.

Ashford Meeting September '14
Congratulations to Clive Mitchell for taking the Scott Thomson Trophy at Ashford with 32pts.

September Meeting
Our next meeting is a competition for the Scott Thomson Cup and is to be held at Ashford Golf Club.
The date for this event is Thursday 11th September and the sponsors are John Thomson and Dave Abbatt.
Breakfast will be at 9 am and tee time is 10 am
This will be followed by a two course meal after the golf.
Cost for members £50 Cost for guests £55
Please let Dave Swan know if you want to go no later than Sunday 7th September.

North Foreland - Autumn Plate
Congratulations to the winner at North Foreland Golf Club. Christopher Wright carded 32pts and took the Autmn Plate.
It was a sign of how tough the conditions were that 32 was enough to clinch it but Chris rose to the top like cream in a full-fat pint.
The weather turned out to be fine after many forecasts of heavy rain sweeping through. The weathermen proved to be wrong and we enjoyed some warm sunshine for most of the Back 9 holes.

The Rough was the main cause of the dismay. It was extremely tough and seemed to be a magnet for members balls.
Making a welcome guest appearance in the evening was John Henry our Chairman.
J.Henry entertained in the usual fashion and presented the prizes after the meal.
Mickey Dunlop managed to pick up the "Played like a Girl" prize with just 16pts
"Did you come on the bus?... Yes, but I made it look like an asthma attack"

The next golf day is on Friday 8th August at North Foreland golf club and we are playing for the Autumn plate sponsored by John Wickens and Ray Brick.
Breakfast will be at 9.00 am followed by 18 holes of golf with a tee time of 10.00 am
The golf will be followed by a two course meal.
The cost for the day is £50.00 for members and £55.00 for guests
This golf club will charge for cancellation up to seven days before the event.
